We spent the morning celebrating Riley's 3rd birthday...a week
early...with some her favorite buddies. Splashing and cupcakes, what
could be better? She had a blast, except didn't seem to like the
attention when everyone was singing to her. She made a terrible scowl
face...surprising for someone who usually loves the spotlight. Plus, I
couldn't get the candle to stay lit in the wind. She pretended though,
and hopefully made a great wish. My wish for her is to continue growing
into the spunky, belly laughing, clever, beautiful child I'm blessed to
spend my days with. Side note, she had her 3-year-old checkup Friday and
Dr. says she's doing great. About 50th percentile for height (37")
weight (31lbs) and BMI. Birthdays continue to be incredibly important to
me...I think that all the planning and perfecting ironically helps me
stop and reflect on how amazing these babies are and how quickly our
days together pass. I can't wait to start the next year of her life and
see what kind of new amazing magic unfolds.
