Bau Bau Games

Since the crawling has really started in full swing this week, there's a whole new dimension to Riley's little personality. For the past few days, she's been truly engaging Bauer to play. Not just laughing and smiling at him, but actually taking his toys and taunting him to grab them. She thinks it's hysterical; he's mildly amused -- but he is earning a lot of his favorite peanut biscuits for being so patient and gentle.

After SO many weeks of "she's about to crawl..."

Old Macdond had a farm...

Mothers Day Weekend photos:
Riley enjoyed meeting a bunch of new animals...all called Bau Bau. She got to sit in a saddle, but she was too young for the pony rides unfortunately. She met goats, cows, chickens, buffalo, a Texas Longhorn, Bobcats, a bald eagle, an owl, and the beautiful giant Belgian horses that led the wagon ride. Oh, and we tested out the new hiking backpack during a soccer game with Bauer. She's also pulling up to standing and standing holding on to toys and furniture and she really doesn't care to sit much anymore.

Spring!

The weather has been so beautiful here that we've been getting out as much as possible. I can't believe that summer is quickly approaching and that Riley will turn 1 in just a few months. This year has flown by. She is absolutely tired of sitting and wants to stand all the time, even though she's still not crawling. This morning, I found her sitting up in her crib for the first time and considering how much she likes to pull herself up, I guess we'll be lowering the crib setting very soon. She's so amazing, I wish you all lived closer to share in the joy she bestows every day.

Riley's first experience in a swing at the park.
