A girl, her dog, and a waffle

So much has been happening the past few weeks that I could probably post something fresh every day, if I had the time. The biggest events include the appearance of her top two front teeth and the new found ability to pull up to a standing position. She's also definitely trying very hard to communicate through her own little language and lots of pointing. She is so much fun to play with and keeps me smiling all day long.
I wanted to share this series of videos because it's an amazing display of Bauer's self control. The frozen waffle was a tip someone shared to help the teething.

Bauer's Yappy Hour

I decided to throw Bauer a Yappy Hour party since he's turning 3 (21) tomorrow. He's been such a prince during this tumultuous year that we felt he deserved a special celebration. After a nail biting afternoon of pouring rain, the dog powers that be smiled down on us and the sun came out about 20 minutes before the party. We had a yard full of neighborhood kids and doggies, all of whom took a turn in the kiddie pools. The doggy table featured martini glasses filled with treats, a home-baked doggy cake, white chocolate dipped milk bones and Bowser beer, a beverage made just for dogs. Of course, there were also doggy bags for the guests to take home. I had so much fun putting everything together and it reaffirmed my decision to become a party planner when I grow up.
